Basic history that's not really on the wiki:
Yukimi is the elder of two siblings, with a younger sister Kazuho. Their mother left at some point in their adolescence because of their abusive father. The father had attacked them several times, with the last one ultimately causing him to be arrested. Yukimi was about 15 at the time, and also got those scars on his arms from his father's nails. The two were picked up by Kairoushu leader Hattori after their father was gone. Hattori sent them to school and provided ninja training for Yukimi. For presumably the duration of being associated with Hattori until about six months to a year before his canon point, Yukimi completed his missions perfectly and ruthlessly. That is mentioned to change not long after he was assigned to take care of the Kira-user, who Yukimi named Yoite. Once Yoite hit his monster growth spurt, Yukimi was much more likely to go out of his way to take care of him, and care that he was happy and healthy in general. This leads into canon, where Yukimi is shown to more and more go against the "perfect ninja" he had been molded more into when he was younger, to the rebelliousness he shows against Kairoushu for Yoite's sake at the point he's taken from in canon.

Yukimi proclaims himself as very fitting for the world of Nabari, which is later echoed by Hattori, the leader of Kairoushu. He is very proficient at fighting, both hand-to-hand and using most weapons including guns, swords, and throwing knives--though some better than others. Much much better than others. He keeps many weapons hidden in his clothes at any point in time and is very good at improvising more from the environment, especially if given time to prepare. He is the tactical operations leader of the Kairoushu ninja, and completes the missions given to him however he can. He can work through situations if a hitch comes up in a plan, whatever it takes to complete his objective. Yukimi makes a good caretaker and protector to those he’s close to as well, working hard to take care of Yoite the last several months to a year they were together. He would make sure Yoite stayed healthy, and later on worked hard at keeping Kasa (the government’s elite ninja squad) away from him.

He isn’t particularly good at ninjutsu, or lying without time to prepare. He can also be slow at turning in paperwork, both to his Front World job and to the Kairoushu Leader Hattori. Parts of that could be intentional, but some is for sure just forgetfulness. He isn’t that personable with new people either, generally being a very gruff and blunt individual. He also has the habit of underestimating people, going so far as to filling their fights with mocking banter. Yukimi also claims he’s a “blind follower” of his missions and the Leader, which can get him into trouble if there’s something deeper going on. Being a caretaker of Yoite has been claimed to “dull Yukimi’s intuition and instincts,” which makes his care both a boon and a curse, depending on what angle it’s looked at. It has made him less ruthless at points, but also gave him the ability to shoot dead a child ninja, which had been something he was steadfast against in the whole time previously.



Motives: [What would motivate your character to kill? If ‘nothing’, what will your character contribute to the plot (as a victim)?]

Yukimi will and has killed for missions, and also to protect those he considers his to protect, like Yoite and Miharu.

Moral Alignment: [A sentence or two on your character's morality and general alignment. Are they a cinnamon roll or the devil themselves?]

Yukimi really has a very gray mortality. He has no qualms with killing adults that get in his way or the way of his mission. He doesn’t like killing children, but he has killed at least one kid when she proved she planned on killing Yukimi and then continuing on to kill Yoite and Miharu. He doesn’t mind killing, but that doesn’t make him apathetic. He protects what’s his fiercely, and won’t let anyone (even the person who saved him and his sister from being in a gutter) hurt them. He generally doesn’t care much about people outside of his sphere though. He's been known to work with people he previously was fighting, if it meant a mutually beneficial situation.

What Yukimi wants most in the world is to create a place where his precious people (especially Yoite at this point) can consider a home.

PLOT:
Would you be interested in your character having a plot-involved role?: I'd be cool with it, and Yukimi would probably work well as a spy or some such.
Would you prefer your character to be a victim, a killer, or do you have no preference?: I'm not sure I have a preference personally? But Yukimi is definitely capable of being a killer.
Would you like to volunteer your character to be killed early? How early? I don't think I would mind if it would help.
Anything else? Nothing special, just your average Modern Day Ninja
